An early look at the common DMP API

Normally, an API is not an exciting topic to read about. It is meant to plug two pieces of software together. However, much like a guitarist plugging in their instrument, the new common standard DMP API will let you do a lot more with your DMPs than before. In this blog post, we are taking a first look at the standard that multiple DMP tool makers are working on and how it affects DAMAP.

Our plans for a shared DAMAP service

We are working towards creating a cloud-hosted version of DAMAP that would potentially run on ARI&Snet and would allow anyone with an eduID or ORCID to log in and start creating DMPs without having to deploy DAMAP on-site. In this post we want to go into more detail why we would like to take this step, what we are planning to do, and what this means for you as a DAMAP user.
